The inbestMe platform is in constant evolution and development. Periodically, the team prioritizes new features or improvements to the platform, either from client suggestions or developments we believe are most appropriate for the future of our platform.
Although we would like to move faster in many areas and services, as you will see below, we must balance our resources between what is most visible and what, while less evident, is equally essential.
In this article we summarize the main updates and developments carried out during the first half of 2025.

ToggleContinuing to make our interface more intuitive
In September 2024, we announced the launch of the new inbestMe app. This release included not only a redesign but also the implementation of a more intuitive interface. Behind it is technology that allows us to adapt the interface to different devices (computer, mobile, tablet). This particularly enables us to incorporate more native functionality to each device whenever possible.
The interface improvement process has continued, albeit at a slower pace. Other pages have been updated during this first half of the year, taking advantage of updates to some sections. This process will continue in the second half, advancing progressively but consistently.
Security improvements
In a financial application, security is a fundamental aspect. During this first half of 2025, we have implemented significant enhancements in this area, given its growing importance. We encourage our clients to use strong passwords and remain vigilant against fraudulent activities, which are increasingly intense and sophisticated.
We are aware that, in some cases, these measures may add some friction, but we trust that all our clients understand that security regarding money is non-negotiable.
Authentication: extended two-factor authentication (2FA)
This double factor already existed on our platform, but only for very specific activities that remain.
Now we have implemented two-step authentication as a full extra security layer. After entering your password, you must confirm your identity with a one-time code, significantly hindering unauthorized access. We register the device and only request a new code if you do not log in from that device within 30 days.
Shorter session duration
To minimize risk in case of stolen credentials, we have reduced the expiration time of authentication tokens from 30 to 15 days. This ensures sessions are renewed more frequently and remain secure.
Safer updates to email and phone
Now, changing your contact details requires cross-device validation. That is, updates must be confirmed from another device. To change your email, confirmation via your phone is required; to change your phone, confirmation via email is required. This prevents an attacker from hijacking your account by modifying recovery options.
Enhanced bank account validation
To strengthen financial security, we now require a small verification transfer when adding a new bank account not previously used for transfers. This confirms that you are the legitimate account holder and protects clients against potential unauthorized withdrawals.
We reiterate that, in matters of security, client collaboration is key: protecting credentials and devices is a shared responsibility requiring active commitment.
SCAM warning signs (per Interactive Brokers):
- S – Suspiciously good to be true
- C – Contact is unexpected
- A – Asking for personal information
- M – Money movement requested
Improvements in automated management infrastructure, towards real-time updates
We have launched a new implementation of our main automated management platform (Robo Advisor). The new extensions manage and process account information — such as transactions and operations — more efficiently.
Thanks to these optimizations, we provide a better user experience in data visualization within our applications.
In addition, we will soon incorporate near real-time updates of account information, a functionality already in development that will make these improvements even more evident.
Although these infrastructure improvements are not always visible to the user, we believe they will be key for the future development of our platform.
Improvements in our client knowledge
With the aim of reinforcing security and regulatory compliance, we have incorporated new functionalities that allow us to request additional information when required, making the process as simple as possible for our clients. This enhancement is part of our KYC (Know Your Customer) obligations — the financial and operational knowledge we must have about our clients to better protect their interests and prevent misuse of accounts.
Optionality in viewing the MWR
In our last update we announced that, in the performance chart (%), we decided to always show both versions of return calculation (TWR and MWR) to make comparison easier.
Although we maintain this dual view, we have added a button to hide MWR. We realized that in some accounts or situations, it may be useful to hide it:
- Because MWR is very sensitive to certain circumstances, producing extreme numbers that distort the chart’s scale and hinder tracking over time.
- Because sometimes the results are so similar — or, conversely, so different — that they confuse.
- Because some clients may prefer to focus only on TWR and have a “cleaner” view of their returns.
Continuing to innovate, step by step, with focus on the essential
The first half of 2025 has been marked by relevant progress, both visible and internal, strengthening inbestMe’s security, user experience, and technological foundation.
We know there is still much to do, and we will continue working with determination to improve our platform. We will do so by listening to our clients, prioritizing what is essential, and balancing the pace of innovation with the solidity required for responsible financial management.
